She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes, She can ruin your faith with her casual lies, And she only reveals what she wants you to see. She hides like a child but she's always a woman to me. She can lead you to love, she can take you or leave you, She can ask for the truth but she'll never believe you, And she'll take what you give her as long as it's free, Yeah she steals like a thief but she's always a woman to me. Oh, she takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants, She's ahead of her time. Oh, and she never gives out and she never gives in, She just changes her mind. And she'll promise you more than the garden of Eden then she'll carelessly cut you and laugh while you're bleeding, But she brings out the best and the worst you can be. Blame it all on yourself cause she's always a woman to me. Oh, she takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants, She's ahead of her time. Oh, and she never gives out and she never gives in, She just changes her mind. She is frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel, She can do as she pleases, she's nobody's fool, But she can't be convicted, she's earned her degree, And the most she will do is throw shadows at you But she's always a woman to me.

"Goodnight Saigon"
We met as soulmates On Parris Island we left as inmates from an asylum and we were sharp as sharp as knives and we were so gung ho to lay down our lives. We came in spastic like tameless horses we left in plastic as numbered corpses and we learned fast to travel light our arms were heavy but our bellies were tight we had no homefront we had no soft soap they sent us playboy they gave us bob hope we dug in deep and shot on sight and prayed to Jesus Christ with all of our might. We had no cameras to shoot the landscape we passed the hash pipe and played our Doors tapes and it was dark.. so dark at night and we held onto each other like brother to brother we promised our mothers we'd write (chorus) and we would all go down together we said we'd all go down together yes we would all go down together. Remember Charlie? remember Baker? they left their childhood on every acre and who was wrong, and who was right? It didn't matter in the thick of the fight,... We, held the day,.. in the palm of our hands They, ruled the night And the night, seemed to last as long as six weeks On Parris Island We held the coastline they held the highland and they were sharp as sharp as knives they heard the hum of the motors they counted the rotors and waited for us to arrive (repeat chorus)
